Metaxa Hospitality Group has announced the appointment of Serafim Karouzakis as the General Manager of Santo Collection. A highly experienced professional with over 30 years in the tourism industry, Karouzakis will oversee the operations and strategic direction of Santo Collection’s three properties: Santo Pure, Santo Mine, and The Villas by Santo Collection, all situated along the stunning coastline of Santorini, Greece.
In his new role, Karouzakis will be responsible for driving innovative sales and marketing strategies, maintaining exceptional guest satisfaction, and fostering a collaborative team environment to deliver outstanding hospitality. Additionally, he will focus on implementing sustainable initiatives to reduce the environmental impact of the properties while ensuring financial success and profitability.
Alongside his new responsibilities at Santo Collection, Karouzakis will continue serving as General Manager of TUI Magic Life Candia Maris Resort & Spa, an adults-only, all-inclusive resort in Amoudara, near Heraklion, Crete—a position he has held for the past 14 years. His career in hospitality began as Operations Manager at Gouves Water Park Holiday Resort in Crete, following his role as Assistant Banqueting Manager at Creta & Terra Maris Convention & Beach Resort, a Metaxa Hospitality Group property in Hersonissos, Crete.
Karouzakis holds a bachelor’s degree in Tourism & Hospitality Management from Minoan International College in Heraklion, where he graduated with honors. He has also completed the Hospitality Management 360 program at Cornell University in Ithaca, New York. Fluent in Greek, English, and German, Karouzakis brings a global perspective and multilingual expertise to his role, enhancing the guest experience at Santo Collection.
