Hilton (NYSE: HLT) has announced the signing of its first Signia by Hilton hotel in the Asia Pacific region, set to open in Jaipur, India. This milestone reflects Hilton’s strategic focus on expanding its luxury portfolio in India, joining esteemed global brands like Waldorf Astoria Hotels & Resorts and Conrad Hotels & Resorts. The launch of Signia by Hilton in India follows the recent debut of Signia by Hilton Amman, the brand’s first international property outside the United States, as it continues its growth in key gateway destinations.
Developed in partnership with Sandeep Bakshi and Family LLP, the 216-room Signia by Hilton Jaipur is slated to open in 2028. Hilton currently operates two hotels in Rajasthan—Hilton Jaipur and DoubleTree by Hilton Jaipur Amer. This latest signing reinforces Hilton’s presence in the region, complementing previous agreements, including the upcoming Waldorf Astoria Jaipur, India’s third Conrad Hotels & Resorts property in Jaipur, and the first Hilton Hotels & Resorts property in Udaipur, set to open in 2024.
Alan Watts, President, Asia Pacific, Hilton, stated, “This signing marks an exciting milestone as we introduce Signia by Hilton to the Asia Pacific region. Jaipur’s rich cultural heritage, vibrant tourism sector, and emergence as a key business hub make it an ideal location for this premium brand. Our continued expansion in India underscores our commitment to delivering world-class hospitality experiences in strategic destinations.”
Located 28 kilometers from Jaipur International Airport and with convenient access to the Delhi-Mumbai Expressway (NE-4), the property is positioned just a three-hour drive from Gurugram, making it an attractive destination for travelers from Delhi NCR, a major domestic source market.
Sandeep Bakshi, Managing Partner of Sandeep Bakshi and Family LLP, commented, “Jaipur has long been synonymous with luxury, heritage, and world-class hospitality. With Rajasthan drawing a growing number of discerning travelers and high-profile business guests, the arrival of Signia by Hilton will elevate the city’s hospitality landscape. We are excited to collaborate with Hilton to introduce this exceptional brand to Jaipur, catering to the increasing demand for luxury and business travel.”
Akansha Bakshi, Chief Operating Officer (COO) of Sandeep Bakshi and Family LLP, added, “Our vision is to bring a world-class luxury experience to Jaipur, seamlessly blending contemporary elegance with the city’s rich cultural heritage. Signia by Hilton will offer an elevated experience tailored to sophisticated travelers and event planners seeking top-tier services. This property is set to become a premier choice for business leaders, global travelers, and those seeking opulent celebrations and event experiences.”
Designed to cater to the growing demand for high-end meetings and events, the hotel will feature over 2,250 square meters of event space, including a 9,700-square-foot grand ballroom. Guests will have a choice of elegantly designed standard rooms, executive suites, and private pool villas. Signature highlights include the exclusive Club Signia lounge, a striking artificial lagoon, and diverse dining options across four specialty restaurants. Additional amenities such as a spa, fitness center, multiple pools, and a dedicated kids’ club make it an ideal destination for both business and leisure travelers.
Clarence Tan, Senior Vice President of Development, Asia Pacific, noted, “The signing of Signia by Hilton Jaipur aligns with our ambitious goal of doubling our luxury footprint in India. Following the signings of Waldorf Astoria Jaipur and Conrad Jaipur, this development underscores our commitment to serving sophisticated travelers with vibrant and dynamic hospitality offerings tailored to both business and leisure needs.”
Signia by Hilton will participate in Hilton Honors, the award-winning guest loyalty program encompassing Hilton’s 24 distinguished hotel brands. Members booking directly through Hilton’s preferred channels can enjoy exclusive benefits, including a flexible payment slider allowing nearly any combination of Points and cash, special member discounts, and complimentary standard Wi-Fi. Members can also access Hilton’s industry-leading digital tools through the Hilton Honors mobile app, which enables digital check-in, room selection, and keyless room access via Digital Key.
With this latest signing, Hilton’s portfolio of operational and pipeline hotels in South Asia has grown to 64 properties, highlighting the company’s strong expansion strategy and dedication to establishing a prominent presence in the region.
